The Chronicles West Bengal, Kolkata and Sunderbans

After completing the Odisha trip we headed to the most happening state of West Bengal.. It was a dream for me to visit the most striking places of India and when I learnt about the mighty Sunderbans in 7th standard Geography classes it was a dream to visit the place and explore the uniqueness where the Royal Bengal Tigers lived..

I used to imagine the places in my dreams and it was a dream come to visit the most magnificent mangroves of India.. We encountered a variety of wild animals there including 4 breeds of Kingfishers.. We stayed in the islands to understand the life's of Fisherman, Honey collectors and wood cutters to know more about the mighty tigers...The Mudskippers are other fish not to be missed..

Then we headed off to Kolkata - The city of Joy, as the name suggest the city has its own charm and happiness in middle of its dust and poverty.. We did taste all the local cuisine and enjoyed the trip to the most...We spent couple of days visiting the places such as Victoria memorial, St Marys Cathedral, Howrah bridge, Esplande and also all the old and dusty lanes of Old Kolkata..

Loved the scenes of Kolkata where the Modernity and heritage mix was on a showcase...The flying cars along with the century old Trams and 100 century old hand pulled Rickshaw's all dominating the roads in the same space. Loved the trip

We did try all the local cusines of Kolkata and what I loved the most were the katta meeta chats, Paani puri and the Lacha Parotta the streets of Kolkata offered and not to miss the varieties of Sweets we had like Rosgulla, Rasmalai etc..
