Post our trek to the Anaikachan Madavu waterfalls we had a great lunch in a typical Village hotel near Kallathur where we tried the amazing Kothu Parotta and post that after a small break went to explore the falls called as the Thenmalai Falls.
This falls is about a 2 km trek from the Village and after going through some lovely fields and tree houses they have built we had the first glimpse of the waterfalls which was stunning.
This is a single layered tall falls and has a very beautiful sand base where we can happily take a safe bath. The other amazing aspect of this falls is that the water is very crystal clear due to the sand base and also the water contains loads of Herbal content as it flows through dense forest.
Jawadu hills range also been a mystery for many years as people say that many Sidhhar's (Saints) still live here for 1000 of years and this places have many mystery and godly events surrouned to it.
I have been to the commercial side of the Jawadhu malai ( Alangayam side) but was very happy to explore the unexplored parts of the Jawadhu hills.
We took another dip in this falls and post 1 hour we left with heart filled satisfaction to our another destination.
