Panchapalli dam and Perandapalli waterfalls drive

Post our trek to the Ratnagiri fort ( Previous Post) we head around a near by village for a nice typical Tamil Nadu style lunch and then decided to visit the Panchapalli Dam which is full due to the monsoon and was wearing a picturesque look and beauty..

The Panchapalli dam is surrounded by beautiful green hills and also has few small waterfalls during the monsoon season. We reached Panchapalli dam base and then sat on a quiet rock to enjoy the fresh breeze and the beautiful feel it gave to us.

We also tried to visit some waterfalls around it but as we were already tired due to our trek we decided to relax there and enjoy.

Post spending some time there on the way back to Bangalore we wanted to visit the Perandapalli falls which was near to Hosur. The Perandapalli falls is one of the falls river Thenpennai River ( Forms at Nandi hills) which is the second longest river of TN with covering 497 kms. We reached the base of the falls and after walking for some 200 meters saw the falls.

The river most of the times have the industrial waste mix and always looks in Brown color so we dint got down to water and enjoyed the falls from a safer distance.. I will advice anyone not to dip in to this river as its not very clean.

Post spending some time in the falls we started to Bangalore with a nice tea break and some amazing memories...
