A Green Trek to Swamimalai Hills and Jalagamparai waterfalls

Monsoon is a beautiful time as everything looks green and serene..We headed to Eastern ghats for a day trip from Bangalore and on the same day visited a beautiful hill temple near Hosur, called the Chandra Choodeshwara temple where we can get a beautiful view and good Darshan...Its a very old and grand temple...

We then reached Yelagiri which takes around 3 hrs from Bangalore and once we reached  we did a small trek to Swamimalai hills of Yelagiri which was so so amazing..This is a hidden place but offers a lovely green trek especially in Monsoon with a old temple at the peak and doable with kids and healthy elders..

There is also lake and some animal pet farms for kids to visit and enjoy..One can also do a drive till Nilavoor to enjoy a scenic drive..

Then we ended the day with a beautiful bath in the Jalagamparai waterfalls which is located on a beautiful sleepy hillock...Its like 45 mins from Yelagiri...

Yelagiri is approximately 3 hours drive from Bangalore and can be completed as a days trip and people can add the lip smacking vaniyambadi biriyani for dinner as well..

The Swamimalai trek is around 3 kms each way and can be managed mostly by kids and is not very steep but has steps to be climbed but the path is very dense and green on Monsoon months....

Jalagambarai is a seasonal waterfalls and has some descent water from August to November and is around 30 kms from Yelagiri hills..Few daring souls also trek from Yelagiri hills to Jalagamparai falls which is just down the baclside of the hill...
