Kariganapalya betta trek and Vivekanand waterfalls

These two places are little unknown and offers amazing wild experience and especially in the monsoon months... Vivekanand waterfalls aka the main Kethanalli waterfalls is a very seasonal waterfall and we usually don't know when there will be enough water as they have to open the checkdam for the waterfall to have enough water and probably in the months of September to October with heavy rains around this can be planned..

The place is not well marked in the google maps so kindly reach Kethanahalli village near Chikkaballapur for the directions, there are 2 routes and one goes to the main falls directly after a km of trek from the car park but the second one is actually intresting as it leads us to 3 to 4 small waterfalls and streams before reaching the main one, so ask the locals for the same...

We also saw a small hill temple on the way reaching to our next destination and clicked some pics as well

After completing the waterfalls we left to the unknown betta (hillock) near called as the Kariganapalya which has a short trek among the grasslands to reach the peak and also has a small temple at the peak. The trek takes about 45 mins to reach the top and pretty easy one, not many will do this trip so localls usually enquire a lot about you and even they will ask you to join for a cup of tea...This place is a birders paradise as I saw a Asian Paradise flycatcher male here as well...Happy Tripping
